About the project
This project targets the Thimphu and Paro River Basins and aims to enhance the capacity of the National Center for Hydrology and Meteorology (NCHM) in meteorological observation and forecasting, as well as in flood risk assessment and early warning. It also seeks to strengthen the capacities of the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) under the Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs, along with the dzongkhags and municipalities within the target river basins, for flood disaster preparedness and response. Through these efforts, the project will contribute to strengthening the resilience of the Greater Thimphu Area against weather-related disasters.
